MALACAÑANG belittled the plan of Catholic bishops and youth groups to take their “rallies for the truth” to the provinces, saying it is a sign they are losing support in Metro Manila.
Deputy presidential spokesman Anthony Golez Jr. said people are getting tired of rallies because those who have accused the administration of wrongdoing in the US$329-million national broadband deal “are turning out to be not so clean.”
“The tale is dwindling and people are seeing his inconsistencies,” Golez added, referring to Senate witness Rodolfo Lozada Jr.
Lozada, who recently visited Iloilo and Bacolod, is expected in Cebu tomorrow.
