13-year-old girl kills 71-year-old employer

A 13-YEAR-OLD girl was turned over to the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) after she was tagged as the one who stabbed to death a 71-year-old widower in an alleged robbery in Toledo City last Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Jose Sepocado, who lived in Purok 1, Barangay Sto. Niño, Toledo City. One of his children found him bathed in his own blood at around 5 p.m., Tuesday. A knife was found still embedded in his abdomen.

Alone

Sepocado, a widower, was living alone in his house.

The suspect (name withheld) reportedly worked as a laundrywoman of the victim. She also cleans the house of Sepocado.

The suspect, who is from Surigao in Mindanao, is reportedly residing in Toledo City where her live-in partner lives.

Sepocado reportedly lost a gold necklace, a watch and cash estimated to be about P5,000.

A witness has reportedly spotted the suspect hurriedly leaving Sepocado’s house.

The witness reported the alleged unusual movement of the suspect.

Detailed

P03 Eugene Macapaz, a resident in the area but presently detailed at the Balamban Police Station, was the one who picked up the suspect and brought her to the Barangay Hall.

PO3 Benedicto Bobilles of Toledo Police Station, in an interview with Sun.Star Superbalita, said they were able to recover a necklace with a pendant. The item was found inside a pocket of a pair of short pants which was already placed in a bag.

The police were also able to recover a pair of pants which appeared to have been stained with blood. (JST/DRT of Sun.Star Superbalita)
