Friday, March 28, 2008 Jobstreet.com's fresh concept in career events
THE country’s leading career site introduces another first in the industry. The Career Fair 2008 JOBSolutely Cool Series, the first leg of which will be held at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall on March 28-29.
Aside from gathering the country’s top employers and recruiters, JOBSolutely Cool also features a mixture of entertaining and informative program segments wherein jobseekers and employers can say their piece and be heard.
Interactive format
“We decided on a more interactive format for our job fairs to address the need for a dialogue between the employers and the jobseekers,” shares JobStreet.com marketing manager Ritchie Ramos.
“From our experience in dealing with both parties, we feel that giving them a venue to meet and interact with a fun yet structured setting will enable them to find great opportunities to come together.”
The event is marked by a talk-show style presentation wherein hosts interact with both employers and jobseekers, serving as a bridge to understand the needs and goals of both parties.
The program’s segment dedicated to employers will feature companies in such a way that will help familiarize jobseekers to the background, culture and work ethics of the participating companies.
Employers will also be given the chance to further differentiate themselves from their competitors for the best talents by citing their compensation packages and career development opportunities among others.
On the other hand, there will be a segment to interview jobseekers that will be hired on the spot. This will show the different processes that they underwent to be hired by the top featured companies.
A fashion show featuring office attires suited to various work environments will also be held to help jobseekers discern proper clothing to wear in a workplace. Prizes will also be raffled off to lucky jobseekers.
Similar to earlier job fairs held by JobStreet.com, jobseekers may pre-register online by visiting www.jobstreet.com, click on Philippines.
