Quijada: Haute stuff
By Jadis Quijada
Shout out

IT looks like the weather has turned the other way around. With La Niña out of the horizon, summer photos will sure look like sunshiny-bright as they should be. The popular Holy Week hedonistic havens sampled the sizzling numbers for the summer, a hot body and a party-worthy swimwear wonder (which you don’t necessarily have to dip in the water if you don’t wish to) to wander around in.

Proofs of these planned ensembles are surfacing in a quick surf on the social networks where posts of poses in summer destinations are plenty. If you’re sulking while soaking in those old beach wear, try heading to the mall to redeem yourself for that next out-of-town opportunity that’ll land on your free time.

Green is a growing pick among stylists, and it’s a color that’s fortunately agreeable on all skin types. And in baring the skin to the beating sun, be kind to yourself and stick the day through with an adequate amount of sunblock. Help yourself every thirty minutes and even more if you’re such a water baby. Cosmopolitan swears by the bronzing effects of beer, but if you should be safe, the wave of Hawaiian Tropics’ tanning oil and lotions are a huge hit in this sexy season of tan lines. And of course, never leave home without water.

If you’re parched for some haute summer clothing, get your fill at the fashion show in SM Northwing, at their Atrium, tomorrow at 6 p.m. Models will be wearing the recommendations from the Northwing fashion boutiques.

BEST OF SEVEN

Board games have likewise picked up at the malls, and if you’re Bingo fan, there’s a game of seven at the quarterly Bonanza Bingo Special at Emall tomorrow (7 p.m.). Tickets are priced at P175 each and you can win a total pay-out of P252,000.

Another treat you can spend on is the Converse Summer Sale from March 28 to May 4, wherein items reach up to 60% discount.
