Bohol cop nabbed for threatening family

A POLICEMAN from Bohol province was arrested for allegedly threatening a family and pointing a gun at them in Liloan, Cebu last Tuesday.

PO1 Ademar Puzon Salvia, 39, who hails from Sitio Suba in Barangay Poblacion, Liloan was detained after he was accused of brandishing his .38 revolver past 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Concerned citizens sent text messages to the Liloan Police Station’s text hotline informing them of a drunk policeman allegedly causing trouble in the area.

SPO1 Joseph Arandia Torlao, PO3 Jaime Pepito Mondiña and PO1 Teogenes Montejo Flores were dispatched to the area.

There, they caught Salvia in possession of the gun. They recovered the firearm, which was loaded with five live bullets. They also seized its memorandum receipt.

Salvia allegedly threatened Mark Tagalog Samellano, Ruth Samellano, Andy Boy Tagalog Yuson and Zepas Aguipo.

All four were inside Ruth’s house when Salvia reportedly arrived.

They alleged that he was under the influence of liquor and that he pointed the gun at Mark.

“Patay man gyud ka ba ug maigo ka (You will surely die if I hit you),” Salvia was quoted as saying. (MEA)
