Motosuit 3rd leg offers more challenges

EXCITEMENT on the tracks and fun at the sidelines will be featured in the third leg of the 2008 MS Motosuit Motocross Series, dubbed the 10th Ornopia Cup, on April 12 and 13 in Calambua, San Remegio, Cebu.

Giving boost to the series is the entry of Imarflex Battery Manufacturing Corp. as its major corporate backer in all of its series legs in the Visayas and Mindanao are.

“I’m really very happy with our tie-up with Imarflex. It is an added mileage for us, knowing that our motocross series is getting bigger and better each year,” said MS Motosuit owner and race organizer Lou Ornopia during the press conference last Wednesday.

Imarflex Battery Vis-Min regional sales manager Percival Villarba confirmed they need to strengthen its customer base and create brand awareness to their target market through the promotion of motocross—one of the country’s exciting and crowd-drawing sports.

“We want to have a strong visibility and exposure for our products through our tie-up with Mr. Ornopia. We’re looking forward to sponsoring the rest of the races this year,” Villarba said

The race consist of the Enduro Challenge Trail Riders on April 12 and the motocross race on the April 13. Close to 100 riders from all over the country are expected to display their dare-devil stunts and electrifying aerial moves.

Among the stars to watch for in the two-day event are the country’s motocross king Glenn Aguilar together with the youthful John Flores and the reigning Rider of the Year Juvannie Abellar.

Aside from cash prizes and trophies, the top performers in different categories will have a chance to win one of the two brand new motorcycles that will be raffled off courtesy of Keiz BJ Motor Sales. (RCM)
