The ARC launching was done simultaneously with an ARC Indicative Development Plan ceremony led by the Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer I Roberto Bajenting, Argao Mayor Edsel Galeos and Provincial Board Member Wilfredo Caminero.

Highlight

Another highlight of the activity was the certificate of land ownership award distribution.

The farmers of Barangays Alambijud and Anajao were given their land titles for a total area of 11 hectares.

Galeos is hopeful that with the ARC launched in Argao, the farmers will be provided with more livelihood programs aside from relying on farm production.

He also noted that unproductive lands will be useful with the intervention of DAR, saying that this would bring a big economic impact to the barangays.

Caminero expressed the importance of the program components of DAR, not only in land acquisition but the provision of support services to farmers.

He urged local officials to welcome and partner with DAR in the implementation of projects to improve the lives of the farmers.

An ARC is cluster of barangays or identified barangays with the highest concentration of beneficiaries and distributed lands. It is a focused area where Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program funds for support services and other resources are being channeled and pooled to bring a greater mpact.
