Speak out: Pacman as Lapu Lapu

FILIPINO fanatcism sure has its way of making us go crazy. The idea that newly-crowned world champion Manny Pacquiao should portray our legendary Lapu Lapu is just crazy, out of line and pure nonsense.

Just because he won a title does not make him a Cebuano first and foremost.

Think of it carefully, there are millions of other Cebuanos who deserve to play Lapu Lapu more than Pacquiao.

Do I want to see the Pacman play our hero? Absolutely not! And even if he does play Lapu Lapu, his act will not bring Cebu any honors or fame at all.
