COUPLES planning their weddings have a wonderful treat in store for them in this month as the Marco Polo Plaza and The Fashion Council of Cebu, in cooperation with Metrobank Femme Visa presents “Weddings at Marco Polo Plaza” on April 26 and 27.
Now on its second year, Marco Polo’s bridal fair is fast becoming a welcome tradition for Cebu.
The hotel’s magnificent Cebu Grand Ballroom is to be transformed a one-stop shop for brides and grooms-to-be, with Cebu’s best wedding planners, cake designers, florists, card and invitation makers, photographers, decorators and other wedding professionals all under one roof showcasing their products and services.
In addition to the showcase in the ballroom, the Marco Polo Plaza has organized some very special pocket events for this April weekend.
Itzamatch!, home to the hottest online dating singles community, has lined-up a series of speed-dating and matchmaking games for those who have yet to find that special someone while the Cebu City Civil Registrar will also be holding Marriage Licensing and Family Planning Seminars for people who are applying for a marriage license.
Maggie Cabrera of Joyful Weddings, Cebu’s premiere wedding specialists, will be holding talks on wedding planning and wedding etiquette while Wedding Essentials, the fast-selling and fastest-growing bridal magazine in the Philippines, will be presenting Barbi Chan of Maybelline New York for advice on bridal makeup and former fashion editor of Cosmopolitan Philippines’ Donna Cuna-Pita for tips on bridal styling.
The two-day event will culminate in a glamorous fashion show with the exquisite wedding collections of the Fashion Council composed of renowned couturiers Philip Rodriguez, Felix Yu, Arcy Gayatin, Ditas Rodriguez, Oj Hofer, Jun Escario, Albert Arriba, Minnie Yuviengco, and Cary Santiago.
