Cebu Interclub Men's Open attracts 10 participants

TEN teams are set compete in the Men's Open division of the Cebu Amateur Football Club's 8th Inter-Club Invitational Tournament on April 27 to May 4 in four different venues.

Cebu Football Association president Richard Montayre confirmed the participation of 10 teams in the Men's Open category of the tournament.

The roster of teams are comprised of the host team Queen City United (QCU), FC Inter Cebu, FC Inter Lapu-Lapu, Pinoysoccer.com, San Roque Royal United, Davao Seagull FC, Nasipit, University of San Carlos, Team Cebu City and Dipolog FC.

Ten teams have also registered in the 15-Under category, while the 12-Under division attracted nine teams. Four teams also signed up for the 38-above category, while the women's Open only have three teams as of now.

Registration fee for teams in the 38 above, Men's Open and Women's Open category will be P5,000, while the organizsers will not charge any registration fee for the 15-Under and 12 -Under divisions.

The champion for the Men's Open will be given P40,000, while the winners in the women's and 38-above divisions will get P20,000 and P15,000, respectively. Sporting goods and not cash will be given to the winners of the youth divisions.

Meanwhile, the RP football team is expected to grace the event and stage an exhibition match with an all Cebu team in the opening of the festivity. (EKA)
