Speak out: Sex education to curb population growth
By Retzelina Orquiza
Lapu-Lapu City

WITH almost 4 million people living in Cebu, it would be best if new and responsive measures would be implemented in our society so that we can control population growth before the situation worsens.

The law of supply and demand is very clear, and if precious resources like food, water, shelter and clothing run out, our beautiful island might turn chaotic.

To control population growth, I recommend that schools should start teaching sex education to all of its students by June 2010.

Government health centers should increase its supply of contraceptives as well.

Finally, we should revise the tax code for families and dependents of employees.
