Tsuneishi sweeps others in ECCP

SMOOTHLY, Tsuneishi breezed through the one-day football tournament with an unscathed record and finally went on to be the champions in the first installment of the European Chamber of Commmerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Soccer Cup at the Cebu International School football field last Sunday.

In the championship game, Tsuneishi edged out Lear in a 1-0 victory. Tsuneishi was the top team with an outstanding record of 5 wins and 1 draw in the eliminations, while Lear finished with 2 wins and 4 draws.

For the third place, in a penalty shootout, the Detalia Aurora Warriors outscored People Support, 3-1.

The Detalia Aurora Warriors had a record of 2 wins 3 draws and 1 loss and upset the much higher-seeded People Support, which finished with a 3 win, 2 draw, and 1 loss record.

Tsuneishi also bagged the muse competition, which was held in the opening ceremony before the kickoff of the football matches.

The tournament was participated in by 7 teams comprised of members and invited non-members of the company: Detalia Aurora Warriors, Detalia Aurora Kings,
Tsuneishi, People Support, Fairchild, NCR and Lear.

The true meaning of the tournament was not for competition, but for the promotion of friendship, camaraderie and fun through football.

The ECCP Soccer Cup was made possible by Mr. Guillermo Rodriguez of Detalia Aurora, Neil Montesclaros the Tournament Director and the management and staff of ECCP. (EKA)
