CCCI sets launch

THE people behind Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (CCCI) Adopt-a-Police Station Project is scheduled to inaugurate their third state-of-the-art police station in Tupas St., Barangay Sawang Calero.

The construction of the new headquarters of San Nicolas Police and Fire Station is nearly completed, with just the finishing works being undertaken.

The San Nicolas Police Station 6 and Fire Station building was donated by Gaisano Capital, represented by its president. Henry Gaisano II and Edmund Gaisano, chairman of the Gaisano Capital Group.

The Adopt-a-Police Station Project is chaired by Jose T. Ng who also serves as Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice president for Visayas and CCCI’s
past president.

Because of the project, Ng was awarded as the Outstanding Individual for Peace and Order by the Cebu City Government during the 70th Charter Day celebration.

Undertaking

The project is a joint undertaking between CCCI and the Cebu City Government under the initiative of the Office of Vice Mayor Michael Rama, chairman of the Police Coordinating and Advisory Council, in cooperation with and the Committee on Police, Fire, Penology and Public Safety.

It principally aims to improve the facilities, equipment, communication and mobility as well as the operational capability of the city’s police stations.
