Knights rule Pacman airsoft

Trident Knights ruled the “Battle in Mactan” First Pacman Airsoft Competition after a close fight for the top award against the Red Arm Stallion team at Mactan Central School.

The Trident Knights, led by Gerald Ocampo, and the RAS team of Michael Cuakok both finished the competition with a total of 1,390 points with identical 7-2 win-loss slate but the Knights got the title owing to their better time.

The Knights finished their missions in 32 minutes and 24 seconds, while RAS tallied 33 minutes.

The third place went to EMC with 1,180 points and a time of 23 minutes and 25 seconds, while MAG-Mandaue Airsoft Group tallied 1,100 and a time of 20:47 for fourth.

The Pagcor-Scorpion Airsoft Team got the best in sportsmanship award and the corresponding P2,000 prize after finishing the competition without any violation of the rules. Team 557 also won the Best in Uniform award.

“Though our team lost to JAG-Judeans Airsoft Group in our last game, team work was the big factor for this victory and in competitions like this, always put some trust in the man beside you,” said Ocampo of the Knights.

He said they did what they were doing in the first day of the competition by fielding more members in their right flank, and using their left to sweep the opposition.

Cuakok, on the other hand, said that a little mistake they made in their other games left the team 35 seconds behind by the Trident Knights but he said that it was also teamwork, practice, as well as the execution of their strategy that made them the first runnerup in the competition. (NSM)
