TV show to feature Larrazabal bike fest

POPULAR television sports show Sports Unlimited will feature the 2008 Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival this weekend.

The said show, which is hosted by Dyan Castillejo and Marc Nelson, is a sports program of ABS-CBN that features sporting events, as well as ordinary and prominent sports figures.

The show will air this Saturday at 12 midnight on ABS-CBN (Channel 2), and will have a replay on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. on ANC (channel 27 on Sky Cable).

On the other hand, the TLBF, which was held earlier this month in Subic, was organized by Atty. Gregorio “Goyo” Larrazabal and was named after his father, Terry, who died in December 2000.

It was then in 2002 that Goyo, a mountain-biker since 1989, organizes yearly one of the biggest mountain-biking (MTB) events in the country, the Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival (TLBF).

The event which is the only multi-discipline cycling event in the country and in Asia held for three days in one location that includes other activities.

It includes road race, MTB downhill, MTB cross-country, trials, and BMX freestyle and jumping.

And for the first time, the organizer included triathlon in this year’s edition. (NSM from PR)
