VETERAN rider Pipo Rubi is eyeing to extend his lead as the fourth leg of the 2008 MS Motosuit Motocross Series hits Sagbayan, Bohol today for the 1st Sagbyan Motocross Challenge.

Sanchez has 71 points after the Calambua, San Remegio leg last month, while Bustillo is hot on his trail with 65 points.
The Sagbayan race is supported by Suarez Bros, Mayor Jimmy Torrefrance, Du Ek Sam, YS Construction and Design & Build.

Zubros Cowboys rule National Rodeo Cup
THE Zubros Team of Bukidnon snatched the overall title as the two-day 1st Sen. Juan Miguel R. Zubiri Cup National Rodeo ended with an unexpected turn of events at the Cebu Boardwalk in Mandaue City Reclamation Area yesterday.
The cowboys from 13 different teams defied the muddy venue but despite the slow down, the event got very interesting and exciting with participants struggling to finish their tasks amidst the slippery tracks.
Zubros romped the title after accumulating a total of 27 points to top 12 other teams, including one from Bukidnon and two from Cebu—the Cebu Equine Owners, Breeders and Sportsmen Association (Ceobsa) and the Westside Rodeo Club.
The Zubros cowboys earned seven points for winning the Tug-Of-War competition in the Non-Cattle event and got another seven points in the Bull Ride in the Cattle event.
Aside from two first places, Zubros also claimed two second places, earning additional five points from each silver medal in the Load Carrying in the Non-Cattle event and the Lassoing/Throwing Down/Tying (1-man) contest in the Cattle event.
Capping Zubros performance was a third place finish in the two-man wrestling, a Cattle Event competition.
Placing second were the Kagayan Horsemen of Cagayan de Oro City, which finished with 16 points, while the Masbate Cowboys finished with 15 points for third place.
Masbate and Kalasungay Rodeo Team finished with 15 points each but the tournament organizers penalized the Malaybalay, Bukidnon -based team with a three-point deduction for failing to produce a banner.
Impasug-ong earned eight points for scoring three points in the Load Carrying and five in the Tug of War, both under the Non-Cattle event.
Visayas State University of Leyte also finished with eight points, five from the Team Roping and three in the Lassoing/Throwing Down/Tying (1-man) competition.
Westside Rodeo, on the other hand, scored seven points for topping the Team Roping, to tie Oriental Negros Cowboys Club of Dumaguete City – the winner of the two-man wrestling contest and the Los Manzoneros of Bohol, which topped the Lassoing on Horseback competition.
Vaqueros Bravos of Bukidnon and Xavier University Alumni of Cagayan de Oro City each finished the two-day event with five points. (RCM)
