Cebu Capitol purchases 20 brand new Kia Carens

THE Province of Cebu awarded Gateway Motors Cebu Inc. to supply 20 units of Kia Carens, a seven-seater Crossover Utility Vehicle that has the comfort of a passenger car, power of an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) and has the functionality of an MPV (Multi-purpose Vehicle).

The Kia Carens with a CRDi diesel engine is a popular model of Kia Motors more noted for its versatility, a main consideration that the awards committee recognized in deciding to replace the very old service vehicles of several department heads in the Provincial Government.

Several car dealers and distributors were invited to bid for the requirement. After the evaluation based on quality, price, specifications, availability and warranty; Kia Carens was selected.

The decision to award the purchase of the 20 units of Kia Carens impressed Governor Gwendolyn Garcia. She was elated to learn that with the limited budget of the province for the purchase of said replacements, the provincial government acquired a respectable SUV.

The replacement of the very old units will save the provincial government the very high cost of maintenance and repair, not withstanding the loss of efficiency and productivity from outputs of several department heads.

Its multi-awarded dealer, Gateway Motors Cebu Inc., represents Kia Motors in Cebu and Bohol.
