Convergys untouched in Inter-Call Tourney

DEFENDING champions Convergys stayed as the only unbeaten team following another emphatic 63-48 victory over Icomm in the ongoing 2008 Inter-Call Center Basketball Tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Meanwhile, e-Telecare bounced back from a sloppy game to defeat Qualfon with a thrilling 78-69 come-from-behind win in the other game.

Regg Jalapit led Convergys to its third straight win after scoring 17 points while Jeffrey Padernal topped Icomm with 14.

e-Telecare, on the other hand, clawed back from an 11-26 first quarter deficit behind the efforts of James Jaro, Vicente Adolfo and Franco Angelo who combined for 49 points to win the game.

Benjamin Sanchez topped Qualfon with 14 points while Glenn Mangubat added 13 for the team’s second defeat in three games.
