No waning fire for DGL’s title bids

WINNING one race after the other has become a fad for David G. Lim but the affable Cebuano ace driver still crave for more title at the race track – be it in the Autocross or in the Drag Race.

Lim who pocketed seven overall championship title in a span of less than a year has not loosen up his guard, instead he stayed focus on winning races.

Last Saturday at the Mandaue City Reclamation Area, Lim has added another Quick 8 title using his Honda EG Chopped top hatchback in a 1/8 of a mile run.

In June last year, DGL set a record run of 9.882 seconds to erase the fastest car record set by Ken Kepner in Dec. 2003.

However, in last February’s race at the South Reclamation Properties, Lim erased his own record with the faster 9.817 seconds for the 400-meter run.

And in between his titles in Drag Race comes overall titles in Autocross Challenge, which features obstacles and driving skills, and Lim has already won three overall titles.

With his latest achievements, Lim has expected his fellow racers to modify their cars to try and challenge him.

But he is ready to accept new challenge and looking forward to winning more races in the days to come. (RCM)
