THE Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development is now looking for outstanding individuals and institutions for the Pantas-Tanglaw awards.
The Pantas award was first granted in 1976. It is awarded to individuals who have contributed significantly in the field of Philippine agriculture, forestry and natural resources research and development.
The Pantas award has two categories—the outstanding scientist/researcher category and the outstanding research administrator category.
For the outstanding scientist or researcher category, the candidate should not only have an outstanding contribution to science, but also demonstrate the capability and earned the distinction in research and development with outstanding or innovative work in the scientific community or as published in recognized scientific or technical journals.
On the other hand, the outstanding research administrator candidates should show exceptional research and development management capability and direct control and supervision over a group of active scientists and researchers which may
include himself.
Nominations
The Tanglaw award is given to outstanding institutions that have contributed significantly to the national research system particularly in the advancement of Philippine agriculture, forestry, and natural resources research and development. The Tanglaw was first granted in the year of 1974.
The Pantas-Tanglaw nomination forms are available at www.pcarrd.dost.gov.ph.
Nominations and requirements should be submitted not later than June 30.
