And speaking of trips and tours, over in Hong Kong Disneyland, a new attraction called “it’s a small world” officially opened two weeks ago. This latest addition to the HK Disneyland experience features Audio-Animatronics figures representing children from around the world dressed in their national costumes. Famous landmarks and Disney characters complete the foray into the whimsical world of children.
Hong Kong is one of only five locations in the world that is home to a Disney themed park. The park has received over 10 million guests since it opened in Sept. 2005. For more info, visit its website at www.hongkongdisneyland.com.

From far-away Finland comes the happy missive that Raul Arcenas, son of Rosita Arcenas and the late Dr. Ramon Arcenas, married Johanna Klinge in an afternoon ceremony at the Magistrate’s office of the city of Helsinki. The wedding dinner was held at the Ravintol Lasipalatsi.

The art scene in our Queen City is alive and kicking. Artlink, the painting exhibit participated in by Cebu and Manila artists at the Cebu Country Club, saw the community’s art enthusiasts on a buying spree. And for the would-be artists, there was that morning workshop for children which had the painting masters giving tips and sharing secrets. Kudos to event organizers Michael and Kristine Dino.

Heroes Happen Here, the photo book by world-renowed photographer Caroline Jones was launched during the Microsoft Launch Wave Dinner at the Laguna Garden Cafe. The book focuses on more than a hundred information technology heroes from different parts of the world and proudly, two of them are Filipinos — Rick Pusag of ETelecare Global Solutions, and Lou Batugal of Petron Corp. Phil.
Keynote speaker during the event was Microsoft Corporation’s senior product manager for the windows server division David Lowe.

It was a lunch affair at the family beach house in Bitoon, Dumanjug, for the birthday of Sun.Star Group of Publications president Sonny Garcia. Wife Armi prepared a kilometric table of native favorites with two lechons as centerpieces, but the piece de resistance was the fresh oysters which came all the way from her hometown of Dipolog in Zamboanga.
