We didn’t do it, say police
He just drove the van, says the wife of Henry A. Comandao. That’s what she, accompanied by relatives, told Cebu City homicide chief Mario Molinar to clear the driver’s name. Comandao was shot and wounded during the attack on the van that he drove with a just-released-from-jail couple and a woman companion as his passengers. The three passengers were all killed. POLICE Regional Office 7 Director Ronald Roderos dismissed speculations that police were behind the recent killings of detainees released on bail.

Roderos said policemen have no motive to kill them. He said they do not even know when these detainees are released.

“We really do not know if they post bail or not. We are not informed when they do,” Roderos told Sun.Star Cebu yesterday.
