Sunday, May 18, 2008 Festin-Baybay: Time to Prepare By Tita Dulce Festin-Baybay That's Right!
THAT’S right, Kidsters! It’s time to prepare for school. You’ve all had more than two months of vacation time where I hope you were able to do some things that we suggested here like taking up some skills training, reading a lot of enjoyable books, going into sports, and helping around the house. Did you? How do you feel now?
If you were able to study something you really liked this vacation time, you added something to your skill. You must feel good and more learned. If you remained idle, you must feel that you wasted a lot of time and you know that time lost can never be regained. Time wasted is precious time lost forever.
That is why I always make use of every second and minute of the day. Now if you read a lot of good books, you became more intelligent, your grammar has improved, and you must have learned some new words. The same goes for the skills training you took.
This early, I am telling you Kidsters to start preparing for school. Slowly go back to your school schedule of sleeping early and waking up early. I know you slept late and woke up late this summer. That is very normal. What are vacations for?
Another way to prepare is to make a list of the things you will need for school like notebooks, pencils, paper, perhaps new school shoes, and new uniforms because you are all growing fast.
I hope I don’t need to tell you to prepare your surroundings by cleaning and putting things in their proper places because you should have done this right after school last March. So how about it, Kidsters? Time to prepare for school.
