Delposo rules 10K Ilocanos Fun Run

EUGENE Delposo crossed the finish line with a time of 34 minutes and 29 seconds to rule the 10K Men’s Open category of the Ilocanos and Friends Fun Run yesterday in the street of Osmeña Boulevard.

Fourteen seconds behind him was Mendel Lopez, who arrived at the 34:43 mark to take the second place, while Joel Delposo was in third with a time of 35:26.
In the 10K Women’s open category, Leszl Gitaruelas finished first with a time of 42:09, while Mary Jane Beboso was in far second with 42:46 and Madelyn Carter was in third with 44:55.

Garry Garcia was at the top in the 10K Men’s Executive Category with a time of 40:44.

For the 10K Masters A category, Tomas Nuñez Jr. was the swiftest and took first with a time of 39:41, while Ruth Banzon was the champion in the much older 10K
Masters B category with a time of 40:11.

In the 5K races, John Philip Dueñas took the top spot in Men’s Open category with a time of 16:13, while Honeylyn Jubay was the queen of the Women’s open category
finishing at the 21:16 mark.

Hidelito Ngujo was the fastest in the 5K Mepz Men category with a time of 18:59, while his counterpart in the Women’s category was Glady Sumile with a time of 24:26.

Meanwhile Charles Dave Beboso was the champion in the 3K Boys category and Haziel Retavale for the Girls.

This event was organized by the Timpuyog Ken Saranay Ilocano Association Inc. (EKA)
