Monday, May 19, 2008 USPF beats UC for third win in Shakeys
DEFENDING champion University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) picked up its third win in the Shakeys V-League Cebu Leg eliminations, 25-11, 25-14 over the University of Cebu Webmasters at the USPF covered courts yesterday.
Playing in their second game, the University of Cebu only had their tricky drop shots to counter the defending champions powerful spikes as they suffered straights set loss.
Last Saturday, USPF defeated Pajo National High School and Don Gerardo National School (DGNS) for its first two wins.
Yesterday, ANS also sent UC packing, 25-16, 25-20 for their second win of the tournament, which will determine Cebu’s representative to the Shakeys National Finals next month.
ANS picked up its first win against DGNS, 25-19, 21-25, 25-15, last Saturday.
