Cebu City deploys 2 personnel at Nerbac

NEW applications for Cebu City mayor’s business permit are now processed at the Department Of Trade And Industry’s National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (Nerbac), located at Lapu-Lapu St. corner Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City.

This, after Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña issued a memorandum on May 7, 2008, assigning two full-time personnel from Cebu City Hall at Nerbac to take charge of the evaluation, assessment and payment of new applications.

In a matter of minutes, a business tax payment certificate can be issued at Nerbac and the applicant is given 60 days within which to comply with other requirements of the Cebu City Government.

Business permitting renewals will still be entertained at the Cebu City Hall.

Cebu City is among the local government units in Cebu that support Nerbac’s goal of providing fast and efficient service to businesses.

Cebu City has joined mandatory agencies like the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Social Security System, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG to put up desks at Nerbac’s one-stop-shop for business permitting and licensing.

Business permitting and licensing applicants at Nerbac are spared from the hassle of transferring from one office to another. (PR)
