THE business process outsourcing (BPO) industry in the country has been growing at 35 to 40 percent every year since the year 2000, according to the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP).
Nowhere is this growth more significant than in Cebu. As such, Sun.Star Publishing Inc. picked the BPO industry as the focus of this year’s Sun.Star Economic Forum.
The Sun.Star Economic Forum (SEF) is an annual presentation and discussion of economic issues and business opportunities in Cebu.
The 5th Sun.Star Economic Forum will tackle prospects and challenges of the BPO industry and the sector’s contribution to Cebu’s economy.
The SEF, through resource speakers, will present the performance of the BPO industry in Cebu, its prospects and challenges, as well as downstream businesses. Apart from the main presentations, parallel sessions will be held to allow participants to discuss with panelists from the government and private sector specific concerns and issues.
