Sisos join Dunlop meet

THE powerhouse Siso siblings, Cebu’s tennis masters, continue to transform their home into a trophy warehouse as they continue their hunt for more titles when they compete in the Dunlop Age Group Competition at the Manila Polo Club.

Playing since they could remember, the siblings Sally Mae, Bernardine Niño and Sallydine, have been winning titles that their trophies crowd their home in Cebu.

“We want to end the summer right so that we will have enough points to keep us in good position in the ranking since there won’t be a lot of competitions coming because of the classes,” said Niño.

Just this summer alone, Sally Mae collected 13 titles with one runnerup finish, while Niño won 10 championship trophies in various competitions in the country.

Their hunt continues today as they will be playing in two divisions each. Sally Mae, who won the titles in the Girls 14 and 18 divisions in the Gullas Cup last week, will be competing in the Girls 14 and 16 in the Dunlop competition.

Sally Mae has been the busiest as she started competing in March in two international competitions.

Niño meanwhile, competed in the regional meet and the Palarong Pambansa on top of the numerous other local competitions that they have taken part in.

Niño, who was also a double winner last week, will be competing in the Boys 16 and 18 divisions.

Sallydine, who settled for one title last week will be taking part in the Girls 15 and 18 age classes. (MCB)
