EX-PRO Lou Regidor exploded with 53 points to lead the defending champions B-meg ’84/85 to a lopsided win over San Sebastian/Alenter Food ’87, 120-94, in the ongoing elimination round of the San Carlos Boys High Alumni Basketball Association (SCBHABA) 2008 season at the USC North campus gym.
Despite playing with only six players, B-meg dominated the game behind Regidor’s deadly shooting from three-point land.
The former PBA player dropped seventeen three-point bombs to break SCBHABA’s record of fifteen treys Regidor himself set the night before against Gemmary ’70/81.
In the game against Gemmary, Regidor also scored a record-breaking 54 points.
B-meg was ahead all throughout the game and posted its biggest lead of 37 points in the third quarter.
San Sebastian managed to cut down the lead to 18 points in the final canto behind the leadership of Paris Simene but that was the closest they could get.
Four other players scored in double figures for B-meg with Jone Sepe and Lindo Torrejos finishing with 20 and 19 points, respectively.
Roy Aznar added 14 markers, while Emil Mercado chipped in 12 points.
Simene paced San Sebastian/Alenter Food with 42 points and Romeo delos Cientos contributed 28 points in a losing cause.
