Tourism fair at mall to showcase RP’s best

“IT will be one world-class resort after another and all the finest tourism facilities and travel packages from across the breadth and length of the archipelago, all put together in one venue for the rest of the world to see.”

This is how Tourism Secretary Ace Durano described the forthcoming 2nd Philippine International Tourism Fair (PITF) slated at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC), Mandaue City on June 26 to 28.

“PITF will virtually turn the CICC into a huge showroom of Philippine tourism destinations, products, services and business opportunities,” Durano said as he cited the participation of private and government entities—from Northern Luzon to Southern Mindanao.

“Their exhibits at the PITF will be viewed by both local and foreign visitors, especially wholesale buyers from our expanding markets overseas,” he added.

These foreign buyers of tourism packages are coming over for the PITF and its one-day business-to-business networking session called Travel Market Exchange, (Tramex).

It will be at Tramex where foreign buyers from around the world will transact business with the local sellers of package tours and other tourism products and services.

Tramex is an industry-focused and market-specific promotional tool that enables local tourism businesses to sell directly to big foreign travel agents. (PR)
