Unattended stove sparks fire
AN unattended kerosene stove reportedly triggered a fire on 3rd St., Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City yesterday, destroying an estimated P180,000 worth of properties.
The blaze, which started in the kitchen at the ground floor, razed the entire three-story house of Feliza Liugan.
No one was reported hurt in the incident.
The Bureau of Fire Protection received the call for assistance at 7:27 a.m. and raised it to second alarm.
Five firetrucks sent to douse the flames had the fire under control in five minutes.
SFO2 Alikasem Espinola is looking into an unattended kerosene stove used in cooking rice for breakfast as possible cause of the fire.
The city fire department will conduct further investigation today by taking witnesses’ account. (JST )
