ePerformax announces Cebu operations expansion

ePerformax Contact Centers is expanding its Cebu operations in the next 12-18 months with the addition of 2,000 seats and continues to build on its partnership with local businesses to ensure its expansion.

Ricky Santiago, ePerformax-Cebu general manager says that its partnership with Cebu based real estate company JOVIMA Management and Development Corp. (JOVIMA) has been a significant factor in furthering the company’s plans for growth.

JOVIMA is the owner and operator of the PEZA registered JY Square Mall in Lahug where ePerformax offices are currently situated.

JOVIMA is expected to open its newest structure, a 12-storey PEZA registered Information Technology Building this year, at least four and up to eight floors of which have already been committed to ePerformax.

ePerformax expects to spend about $4million in further infrastructure costs to build out these floors. The contact center, which began its Cebu operations a year ago and is celebrating its first year anniversary this month, currently has over 500 employees in its Cebu offices and expects to more than double this number in the next year.

“The partnership between JOVIMA and ePerformax has been very good on both sides,” Santiago said. “In fact, it was JOVIMA’S chief executive officer Joseph Yu’s faith in ePerformax’s growth and expansion that convinced and propelled the Board of Directors of JOVIMA to build the additional structure beside what is currently JY Square Mall.”

These developments dovetail with the company’s sixth year anniversary of operations in the Philippines. Since 2002, ePerformax successfully build a solid track record of continuous growth, from less than 200 employees in 2003; to 1000 in 2005; to over 2500 in 2008.
