THE Carcar City Police Station and some police officers were given commendation and appreciation for their exemplary courage and bravery in responding to the robbery-hold up at the Cebu South Rural Bank in Poblacion 2.
Their swift response foiled the robbery and resulted to the death of one of the robbers, the capture of another suspect and the recovery of the heist.
The capture of one the suspects led to the identification of the mastermind and the other members of the group.
The award was given by the Federation of (199) Chapels of the Archdiocesan of St. Catherine, Carcar City during their
regular meeting last June 8, 2008.
This was presented to the awardees by Fr. Jonjie Ybañez, representing the parish, and myself, representing the Federation.
Receiving the award for the Philippine National Police was P/ Supt. Teofilo Siclot, Carcar City police chief, and Police Officers Meliton Agadier, Nestor Gascon, Kenneth Avila, Rolando Gantuangco and Abella.
The award said: The Federation join the whole people of Carcar City in saying, “We are very proud of you for a mission well done.”
