Thursday, June 26, 2008 Tatler lists resort resto among best of 2008
PLANTATION Bay’s Fiji Restaurant has been named one of the Best Restaurants of 2008 by The Philippine Tatler.
Fiji is noted for its fresh assortment of seafood and wide variety of Pacific Rim cuisine. Service is noted to be “friendly, well-trained and quick,” as it is throughout the entire resort. Signature dishes include the extra-large prawn tempura, Polynesian pork spareribs, and crepes samurai – fresh mango crepes in a creamy vanilla sabayon.
Plantation Bay’s Palermo Restaurant was also nominated by the Philippine Tatler. The chef highly recommends medaglioni di manzo pizzaoila – find out for yourself what it is, but it’s not a pizza. The restaurant’s most famous dessert is gelato alla menta, mint ice cream on a chewy-crunchy almond basket drizzled with hot chocolate syrup.
