New generation of students prefer Information Technology

MORE and more people today hoping to succeed in the professional world prefer to specialize in information and communications technology.

Informatics, the country’s premier IT school, for one, reports that student enrollment this year has doubled than in previous years.

“There’s no doubt that the birth of the Internet has given rise to a global, borderless community. Moreover, the globalization of businesses and industries has created a growing demand for information technology professionals who not only possess technical know-how but business savvy as well,” enthuses Kat Avanceña-Monsod, Informatics marketing manager.

In an increasingly competitive market, companies are looking for people with a unique combination of sophisticated IT skills, a sound domain knowledge, communication excellence and managerial expertise.

Informatics Philippines is a global Information and Communications Technology education provider offering courses that are tailor-fit to meet the growing demand for IT professionals both here and abroad.

Students who wish to join an international business environment will benefit from Informatics’ three-year courses that include a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology and Business Administration. International Advanced Diploma courses in Computing, Information Technology, Networks and Cybersecurity, Gaming and Animation Technology and Business-IT are also available.

Informatics also offers certificate courses on Computer Technician, Office Management, Customer Relations, and Computerized Bookkeeping. Short courses covering beginners’ and advanced level programs from MS Office, Web Development, Engineering Application Tools, Medical Transcription, and Programming Languages are easily accessible in all Informatics centers.

More recently, Informatics launched over 2,000 online learning courses accessible to everyone who wishes to learn at their own time and pace, especially the working professionals and OFWs.

Informatics Philippines is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). It is part of a Singapore-based international conglomerate established in 1983, with more than 130 centers in 22 countries worldwide.

Locally, Informatics has over 35 schools and training centers nationwide, including fully equipped campuses in Cebu located at SM City Cebu, Uptown Raintree Mall, and Consolacion.
