Speak out: Developing alternative sources of fuel
By Eugene Tupaz

I BELIEVE there are ways to solve the oil crisis considering that we have the means of producing alternative fuel, that is if we put our minds to it.

Note that the price of gasoline in the world market is now $130.77 a barrel.

Thus, we have to open our eyes on other possibilities.

An example is making ethanol, which has been used as an alternative engine fuel in the United States and Canada.

This would lessen our dependence on gasoline.

Government should start allocating money for the development of these alternative energy sources.
