Speak out: Blind pro-life advocates
By Mikay-Lopez Dumabok
LGBT Collective Cebu

THIS is response to the statement of Dr. Rene Josef Bullecer of Human Life International-Pilipinas in his press conference calling for a prayer rally vs. the so-called Deaths bills.

The so-called “pro-life” advocate Dr. Bullecer is a man blinded by his principles and he has now become “in-humane” in calling for a prayer rally to protest the passage of the bills involving Deaths (divorce, euthanasia, abortion, total population control, homosexual union, sex education).

He and his group are also opposing House Bill 956 or the “Anti-Discrimination Bill” filed by the Akbayan Party list.
I consider this as discriminatory and in-humane.

How can a “pro-life” advocate want to stop the passage of Anti-Discrimination Bill?

Are we not considered human being by this “principle-blinded individual”?

We, the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender (LGBT) Collective are part of the society.

We are also human beings, so we are entitled to exercise the rights and privileges that Dr. Bullecer exercised and practiced.

How can he and his organization consider these bills as Deaths?

If the basis of this hypocrite individual is immorality, I think he should answer this question first: “Who do we consider as immoral?”

Is it the person who experienced discrimination or the person who discriminates?

Is it not the person who imposes his values on other people, as what Dr. Bullecer is doing?

I therefore hope and pray during this prayer rally that, through the “Holy Spirit” he and his group would realize how blind they are.
