THE Pagadian Explorers is fast catching up with the league leader, M. Lhuillier-Cebu Niños after showing their dominance over the home team Zamboanga Amores, 86-61, in the Zamboanga Leg of the 2008 Liga Pilipinas at the Zamboanga City Gym.
Again, it was Mark Yee who led the Explorers to victory as he scored 20 points to lead 11 teammates who scored in the game.
Helping Yee in securing Pagadian’s second win was the former University of Cebu Webmaster Orville Saludsod who had 11 in the game.
Jonathan Parreño led four other Zamboanga players who scored in the game with 20 points.
In the earlier match, Taguig Batang Global banked on the hot scoring game of Eric Rodriguez to beat the Ilocos Sur Bravehearts, 85-79.
Rodriguez scored 18 Taguig finished with a 45 percent (29-of-64) shooting clip.
In Lipa City, Baguio Victory defeated Tagaytay-Cavite Heroes, 90-85, and host squad Lipa Barakos edged Iloilo Mang Inasals, 99-89.
