HOME teams Baguio Victory and Trace Laguna Stallions bucked the visiting teams to win their respective leg title in the final week of the 2008 Liga Pilipinas Championships Tour Elimination.
Baguio proved too much for Iloilo Mang Inasals following a one-sided 101-81 bashing at the University of Baguio Gym in Baguio City, while the Stallions turned back Tagaytay/Cavite Heroes, 78-70, at the Trace College Gym in Los Baños, Laguna.
Baguio finished the tour elimination with a total of 23 points to settle at sixth place, while Laguna ended with 20 for seventh.
Both teams earned the twice-to-beat incentives in the wild card series along with No.5 Lipa/Batangas Barakos and No.8 Misamis Oriental Meteors and will be hosting the Tagaytay-Cavite Heroes, Ilocos Sur Bravehearts, Iloilo Mang Inasals, and Quezon Red Oilers. (RCM)
