Wednesday, August 06, 2008 Gothong grabs July bowler plume
JUNJUN Gothong was named Bowling Tenpin Association July Bowler of the Month after a successful outing in last Sunday’s tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.
Gothong scored a total of 1,690 pinfalls and joined the ranks of fellow Bowler of the Month winners Jomar Jumapao, Michelle Lim, Clark Tiu and Dr. Bede Ilano who will be competing against him for the annual Bowler of the Year honors.
He had a game high of 250 pinfalls in his first game and finished off strong in his seventh match with 227 pinfalls.
Tiu, the March and May Bowler of the Month, finished at second toppling a total of 1,635 pinfalls.
Meanwhile, young lady bowler Xyrra Cabusas grabbed the 3rd spot with 1,613 pinfalls, Clarence Tiu was at fourth with 1,581 pinfalls, Bel Suelto ranked fifth with 1,521 pinfalls, RP National team bowler Alexis Sy finished at sixth place with 1,509 pinfalls and Charly Michael was at seventh with 1,475 pinfalls.
