Friday, August 15, 2008 Quijada: Blow out By Jadis Quijada Shout out
HOME, on week nights, is a cluttered desk and a worn-out, comfortable sofa bed in the office, especially quiet in the wee hours of dawn where fast keyboard typing is the humdrum music of a worker bee’s existence. If my brilliant time plan executes smoothly, I may have a happy weekend for myself and my equally-busy officemates.
There are pending travels, and therefore sleeping expenses waiting to be relished by the end of the month. An hour’s flight away, it’s still ambitious of me to go to Manila for the one-night-only Eraserheads concert, in the hopes of outscoring their fans over there for elusive passes. A good sleep away, however, is a good old original Noypi movie which should turn out to be a P130-treat well-spent. Satisfy your curiosity and see how you can do the “sun dance” in the romantic-comedy flick, “A Very Special Love.”
WEEKEND BLOW OUT
Cashing that hard-earned pay check may feel better if you’ve splurged it on a sale. At Robinsons Place, an all-out clearance sale is on-going until the end of the month. It’s best to keep your eye on choiced items (which are slashed down up to 50% off). Most of these items are available on limited supply, take note.
You can rest your shopping bag full hands and relax while listening to Pinoy Dream Academy (Season 1) star, Ronnie Liang tomorrow at the activity area of Robinsons.
Or, you can hold off your shopping frenzy for a week for the “Amazing Shopping Challenge” in Ayala Center Cebu on August 23 and 31 where one of Manila’s Best Dressed, Amanda Griffin, will make an appearance.
ART SHOPPING
After retiring from the day’s window shopping, you can take more time off at the art gallery. Opening tonight at the SM Cebu Art Center is Sio Montera’s “Eight for 8” Solo Exhibition. Art-watching won’t cost you.
