Tuesday, August 19, 2008 Globe, Innove gets BIR awards
GLOBE Telecom and its wholly-owned subsidiary Innove Communications were recognized by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as among the country’s top large taxpayers for 2007.
Globe was cited as one of the top taxpayers in the large taxpayers regular group while Innove was given a special award as the large taxpayer for the district office of Cebu.
The award given on Aug. 1, during the celebration of the 104th anniversary of the BIR, was presented to Globe and Innove by Finance Secretary Margarito Teves and Commissioner of Internal Revenue Lilian Hefti. Globe regulatory policy head Andy D. Bengzon and Globe tax management head Josette Adrienne A. Abarca accepted the awards. (PR)
