Joavan ‘grabs’ 2 young girls
Residents evacuate after hearing rumors about fresh fighting between government forces and Muslim rebels Tuesday in Kulambogan town in Lanao del Norte. A guerilla rampage last Monday killed at least 28 people and displaced about 44,000 townsfolk. (Ap photo)
AFTER keeping itself tight-lipped for days, the Talisay City Council yesterday finally said it is condemning the reported series of violent acts involving Mayor Socrates Fernandez’s adopted son Joavan.

Rudy Laceda, Linao barangay secretary, said Joavan sought permission from Linao Barangay Council Wendell Caparida that he would take with him the 16-year-old girl and 23-year-old Ivy Ouano, who works at the motor pool section in Talisay City Hall.
