USC eyes Vissa title

THE powerhouse University of San Carlos swim team will be staking its championship title when it takes part in the third Visayas Inter-School Swimming Association (Vissa) Competition today at the President Carlos P. Garcia Sports Complex.

USC, which won the last two Vissa titles of the secondary division, will be bannered by Palarong Pambansa gold medal winner Loren Dale Echavez.

Joining the competition are mostly member-schools of Vissa and the person to defeat Echavez in her division might be snooping outside Vissa’s four walls.
Echavez will be joined by fellow Palaro campaigners John Solon and Edgar Allan Jarina.

Meanwhile, also set to defend its title is Maria Montessori International School (MMIS), which is currently the champion in the elementary division. (MCB
