SAVOR rich and exciting flavors as the Marco Polo Plaza takes one on another Culinary Journey from Aug. 28 to Sept.14, this time to beautiful and romantic Spain.
Spain’s distinctive cuisine brings together unique regional dishes, special ingredients and long-standing influences from Moorish and Arab settlers.
Many dishes are prepared today using the same cooking methods and ingredients as they were two or three hundred years ago. With the Philippines being a former colony of Spain, generations of Filipinos have a fondness for Spanish food.
Gema Luisa Pido, culinary director of Gustavian, F&B consultant of Casino Español and Cebu’s foremost authority on Spanish Culinary Tradition brings out her treasured family recipes for Paella, Lengua Estofada, Cocidos, Rellenos, Croquettas, Gambas, Sans Rival, Leche Flan and dozens more, all becoming part of Café Marco’s award-winning international buffet. El Viento Restaurant and Pool Bar will be offering a selection of Spanish delicacies served a la carte while the Lobby Lounge will be serving a fine selection of authentic Spanish Tapas.
To top it off, nightly from Aug. 29 to Sept. 4, Madrid-based international guitarist Adolfo Timuat accompanies dancer Jessie Santos and demonstrate the passion, grace and fire of the most sensual of Spain’s music-Flamenco.
