Mandaue holds Airsoft tilt

THOSE who want to get their chance at “rescuing” a downed pilot and blasting away at the rebels trying to capture him can get their chance to play soldier for two days in the First Mayor Jonas C. Cortest Airsoft competition at the North Reclamation Area across Cebu Doctors’ University.

The scenario in the event will have a Black Hawk helicopter gunned down in Central Mogadishu and the pilot, Capt. Tristan Valle, is wounded and has to be rescued before heavily armed resistance can get to him and take him prisoner. Rescuers must also destroy the chopper to prevent the insurgents from taking valuable information onboard.

Those who can accomplish the mission at the shortest possible time will be declared the champion.

The event is in connection with the Mandaue city Charter Day Celebration and organized by the Mandaue Airsoft Group.

Twelve teams have signed up for the event led by Trident Knights and Team Claw.

Other teams are Southern Cebu Airsfot Recon, Red Arms Stallions, Guadalupe Airsoft team, Danao Airsoft Group, Crack Legion, Airsoft Tactcial Force, 51st Globus Tactical, Over Knights, Special Airsfot Action Tea, and the Judeans Airsoft Group.

MAG hopes htat this event will promote the game of airsfot and encourage camaraderie. (PR)
