Sebastian tops Cheling Golf

RAMON Sebastian scored a net of 64 strokes to win the Class A Division of the 4th Cheling Garcia Cup Tournament—the August Men’s Monthly Medal of Cebu Country Club last Saturday.

The 9 handicapper Sebastian finished the event with a gross of 73 strokes to beat runner-up finisher Jonjie Chiongbian who is also a 9 handicapper.

Chiongbian scored a gross of 76 strokes.

Prudgie Gesta, on the other hand, won the Class B title with a net score of 66. Frederic Chiongbian won the first runner-up title with 67 net after winning it via countback over Jiji Gullas, Jude Cimafranca and Maning Granada.

The Class C title was claimed by Bernard Loh with a net of 65 strokes while Masao Koike won the runner-up title via countback over Lau Rogero with 67 net.

Haruhiko Nagasaka came out champion in the Class D division with 66 net while Jun Manglapus finished runner-up with 68 net.

In the Seniors Division Lau Rogero won the title via countback over Maning Gra-nada with 67. Granada settled for the runner-up trophy.

In the Guest division Ritchie Garcia took the title with 73 net beating Dino Yap who had 74. Yap won the runner-up trophy via countback over Toby Florendo and Tommy Tabanas.

While the special prizes went to Marro Sarmiento for winning the Longest Drive in Hole No.11, Takaharu Imai took the prize for the Nearest The Pin in Hole No.3, Tommy Tabanas also for the Nearest The Pin in Hole No.5, Tadashi Muramoto in the Nearest The Pin in Hole No.13 and Jaime Antunez also for trhe Nearest The Pin in Hole No.15.
