Wilbert scales elite level
WILBERT Yu joins the rank of the elite players of the association as he was named the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association August Bowler of the Month after he triumphed over the rest of the 14 bowlers in the tournament last Aug. 31 at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.
Yu scored a total of 1,653 pinfalls and had a game high of 244 pinfalls in the first game. He edged January and April champion Jomar Jumapao by 45 pinfalls.
In at second place was Jumapao who toppled 1,608 pinfalls and had a game high of 235 in his second outing.
Clarence Tiu was in at third place with 1,563 pinfalls while female bowler Micah Co was ranked fourth with 1,558.
March and May Bowler of the Month winner Clark Tiu only finished at fifth place with 1,540, Germaine Uang completed at sixth with a point shy of Tiu’s score, 1,539; Jacklyn Lim was at the seventh spot with a total of 1,531.
Meanwhile, the other Bowler of the Month winners Dr. Bede Ilano, the Bowler of the Month of June, finished at eighth place with 1,528 pinfalls, Bowler of the Month of July Junjun Gothong finished at 11th place with 1,501 and February Bowler of the Month Michelle Lim was only at 12th placed with 1,451 pinfalls.
