Saturday, September 06, 2008 Rubi leads expert class after 11 legs
VETERAN rider Pepo Rubi hung on to a precarious lead in the leaderboard of the Expert Division of the 2008 MS Motosuit Motocross Series.
Rubi, who currently has 177 points, holds a three-point lead over last year’s Rider of the Year Jovannie Abellar, who has a total of 174 points following the 11th leg of the race series last month in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Riders will earn points according to how they finished in the races that are on the MS Motosuit calendar.
Catching up fast with the Top 2 riders is Erwin Uypitching, who has 165 points to be temporarily ranked at third place. Jon-Jon Adlawan is at fourth place with 128 points, while Paul Inoc follows at fifth with 110 points.
Meanwhile, Boni Bustillo is currently dominating in two divisions. He enjoys a huge lead in the Local Enduro category with a total of 256 points, while also leading in the Novice Enduro class with 233 points.
Keeping Bustillo on his toes is Dongkey Sanchez, who trails him at second place in both divisions.
In the Executive A division, motocross patron Seigfred Ornopia leads the division with 306 points. (RCM)
