Monday, September 08, 2008 Tattoo artist shot pointblank
A TATTOO artist was gunned down while drinking with two friends and applying a tattoo on one of them yesterday afternoon.
Seymour Abad, 24, was working on his friend Roger’s tattoo when a man shot him point blank in the head at 4:30 p.m. in Doña Maria II Village, Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
PO3 Roger Nedamo of the Cebu City Homicide Section told reporters that Seymour was charged with a frustrated murder case sometime in 2006.
He said a certain Christopher, Seymour’s brother, raised enough money for the bail only last April.
While Seymour stayed long along Junquera St., he moved to Sitio Rubberworld, Barangay Mambaling three months ago.
Witnesses told the police that a man only identified as Burgo was the gunman.
Without a word, Burgo allegedly pressed the muzzle of a 9mm pistol at Seymour’s left eyebrow and then fired.
The bullet went through the back of Seymour’s head, killing him instantly.
As Seymour fell, Roger and another friend named Kenneth scampered.
Responding policemen found Seymour’s tattoo applicators, a bowl of food, and two bottles of liquor in the crime scene.
A Scene of the Crime Operations team also recovered a bullet shell fired from a 9mm pistol.
Nedamo asked Roger and Kenneth to show up in their office to help in the investigation.
The Homicide Section will also coordinate with the Punta Princesa Police Station to learn on Burgo’s background. (MEA)
